“What is the difference between hard work and smart work” This is a good question. In my point hard work meaning both mental and physical involvement. But in smart work is only intelligently do a work.
Hard work means both mental and physical involvement to achieve goal. But in smart work is only intelligently do a work to achieve goal. For example Lord Kartik was heard worker, but Lord Ganesh was smart worker.
Hard work is doing the work without any idea only follow the previous method or rules. But smart work is the way to do the work creatively.
In my point of view hard work is laborious, who gives more effort but earn a very small amount. But Smart worker using their less efficiency, only use their knowledge and earn more.

Hard work takes time to achieve the goal and in hard work people follow conventional method but in case of smart work, it takes less time to achieve goal and people apply New method and new technology.
Smart work mean talent like creativity, problem Solving ability, reasoning, better utilization of resources, pressure handling. If some person does not have all these talent hard work can be his main asset. Hard work is synonymous of patience, perseverance. On other hand smart work saves time. Person should have both the character if one wants to get successful in life. Both are equally important depending on situation
A smart work gets noticed fast, achieves faster career growth and is generally going to be wealthier than a hard worker
Example: difference between a construction worker and a team manager.
Hard work means doing a work with full strength and abilities. Smart work means performing the task on the given work efficiently.
Hard work may be planned or may not be planned work. But smart work is always planned work

In hard work we spents lots of time and doing more physical work but in smart work we use the technology and do the work easily and fast and also save the time.
In hard work we get results but it takes time but we can do the same thing in limited time if we work smartly.
